Apparently, After a week of intense competition, the final showdown pitted the dynamic Joseph Street against the formidable Osho Street, with the coveted championship trophy hanging in the balance.

Before the main event, a spirited battle for third place unfolded between Wahabi Larinde Street and Bello Street.

In a match marked by palpable exhaustion, but no less determination, Wahabi Larinde Street emerged victorious, netting two goals to one and claiming the bronze medal in a hard-fought contest.

With the stage set for the final, the ceremonial kick-off was performed by Hon.Daisi Oso, the esteemed former Vice Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government and current General Manager of the Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Agency (LASPEMA), officially launching the epic championship match.

The air crackled with excitement. Thousands of fans are estimated to be over three thousand strong, converged on Oloyede Street, alongside press representatives, local politicians, and a jubilant crowd.

A high-energy DJ amplified the electric atmosphere, adding to the vibrant spectacle as everyone eagerly awaited the crowning of Oshodi’s new street soccer champion.

The final match lived up to the hype, a showcase of tactical brilliance and artistic flair as both teams unleashed their street soccer prowess.

The nail-biting contest saw Joseph Street scored one goal by each halves in the fifteen-minute, ultimately crowning Joseph Street the champions.

Beyond the coveted trophy, the tournament organizers also recognized exceptional individual talent.

Prizes were awarded to the best team, the best player, the highest goal scorer, and the young footballer of the tournament, celebrating the skill and dedication displayed throughout the competition.

The third-place match was earlier kicked off by Hon. Israel Akiode (Osa). Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Comrade Bamidele Ogunshakin (APC Apex Leader Oshodi), TPL Daisi Oso, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, represented by Gideon Balogun, and Hon. Idris B. Hon. Idris Bolaji Ariyoh was represented by Hon. Banjoko Kalejaiye, adding to the event’s prestige, alongside former Councillor for Shogunle Hon. Wasiu Femi Mustapha, Uche Monye, Barrister Makinde, Oluwarotimi (Erotic), Akinwuni Razak, and the esteemed councillors representing Ewu, Igbehiadun, Ogunoloko, Shogunle, and many others, all of whom added significant color and vibrancy to the occasion.
