Earlier, Romano stated that Tottenham Hotspur had reached a verbal agreement with Ange Postecoglou the Australian Coach, pending negotiations with Celtic over compensation.
In his latest update, Romano has reported that both clubs have now reached an agreement on the compensation for Postecoglou. He used his signature phrase “Here we go” to hit his world that the deal is all but done.
He confirmed that the Australian is now ready to take charge as the head coach of Tottenham. The formal announcement is expected to follow once the final clauses and compensation documents are completed.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have struggled in their search for a replacement for former coach Antonio Conte, who was sacked in March.
Initially, Julian Nagelsmann was mentioned as the favourite for the job, sadly, concerns over the club’s sporting director position and his role in transfers led to negotiations falling through.
