Non-Yoruba Campaign Postals in Lagos is a disrespect.
The Yoruba Conservative has ordered its members to remove any non-Yoruba postals sighted in Lagos, call it a disrespect to Yoruba natives for a foreign postals to flood its street.
Meanwhile, If anyone want to contest, let them go to their various state to do that, we won’t have any problem with it. But you can’t do that on our soil because you won’t also allow us to do the same on your soil.
We practice democracy but we all have boundaries, if you can’t allow me to hold a political position in your state, I don’t think I should allow you in my state too. It is 50:50!
Moreover, If ONE NIGERIA doesn’t work in your own state, then it shouldn’t work in my own state too. You can’t reserved your resources for yourself and come to share in my own. That’s impossible!
In Anambra, only indigens or igbos are allow to contest for an election. You can’t see any other tribe doing the same In Anambra. It js solely for Anambra people. Same as Kano and Kaduna. Lagos is a state as these aforementioned, let everyone go back home to contest an election, but not in Lagos anymore
Therefore, We have consulted some top Lagos Politicians to stop giving a political ticket to non Yoruba so as to stop the long-term nonsense that has been going on in this state.
Before you compare Lagos to UK and US, that’s too far. Let’s compare Lagos and your own state in Nigeria. Can you allow a Yoruba man to contest and be voted for in your state? We all know the answer is No! Therefore why should I say YES to you in my own state.
Lagos is not UK, US or Abuja. It is a normal state like every other states in Nigeria. It is not a breach of democracy when you prevent others from your state, it won’t be a bridge of democracy if I prevent you also from my state.
Let everyone bear his father’s name. Democracy and One Nigeria doesn’t give you the permission to invade my native land, except if you don’t want peace. It is obvious that people use ethno-religious strategies to takeover land. We have seen so many of it on this country
It is just simple, go back to your state or region to contest but not in Lagos. We have also sent letters of resignation to some foreigners holding a political positions in Lagos to resign and vacate the seat as he or she is occupying a post meant for Yoruba people.
I want people to know that Yoruba Conservative are peace loving people, but it depends on what you chose. If you come to us in violence manner, be rest assured you will face the unforgivable consequences.
